-Recycling: Centre County Solid Waste Authority, 238-6649 

-Sewage: Centre County has numerous wastewater authorities. The University Area Joint Authority, which serves several State College area townships, is at 238-5361. 

-Telephone:Verizon, 800-660-7111 (county's main carrier). In some areas, you may have a choice of more than one local service provider; www.puc.state.pa.us/utiltiychoice for information. 

-Voter Registration: Forms available at libraries, post offices, banks, and more. County Voter Registration & Elections Office, 355-6703. You may also register at any driver's license center. 

-Trash:Veolia Enviornmental Services, 237-3713; Borough of State College Public Works, 237-7140; Fred Carson Sanitary Disposal Services, 238-6895; John Glenn Sanitation Service, Inc., 234-0141.  

-Water:Centre County has more than 40 water systems. State College Borough Water Authority, 238-6766.
